Project Global Officer (Project GO)

Project Global Officer (Project GO) is a Department of Defense funded initiative to help ROTC students learn critical language and study abroad.  Project GO promotes critical language education, study abroad, and intercultural dialogue opportunities through language study scholarships for ROTC students. US military needs future military officers who possess the cross-cultural communication skills required for effective leadership in the 21st Century operational environment.   • Program Fees (application fee not included). 
  • Room & Board
  • Tuition
  • Meals
  • Reimbursement for travel to/from study location

Prerequisites and Course Offerings

Please visit the Project GO Course Offerings page for a list of the prerequisites for each program and a full list of the course being offered in the current and/or upcoming semester(s) that would satisfy Project GO prerequisite requirements. A number of prerequisite courses are offered online.  There are multiple pathways available to ROTC students for completing these prerequisite requirements, to include completing online language courses during the Summer semester.

*NOTE: Do NOT complete this step prior to the application deadline. Following the scholarship selection process, students who are awarded a scholarship will complete this step.

For current Georgia Tech Students:

  • Apply to the appropriate study abroad program via the Office of International Education (OIE)

  • Send an email to projectgo@modlangs.gatech.edu when this process is complete.

For Non-Georgia Tech Students:
