Build Language Skills That Make You Stand Out
Students in any major can enhance their degree with a minor in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, or Spanish. These programs build intermediate to advanced language proficiency while deepening cultural knowledge.
Each minor requires 15 credit hours in a single language. At least 9 of those credits must be at the 3000 or 4000 level and taught in the target language. The remaining credits may include lower-level or English-taught courses as outlined below.
Up to 9 transfer credit hours may be applied, including AP/IB credit or coursework from another institution (subject to Georgia Tech standards). Courses used to meet Core IMPACTS may not also count toward a minor.
For more information or help declaring a minor, contact Mirla González. To declare the minor, submit the Change of Minor Form via DocuSign and select Mirla González as your advisor.
