Our Programs

The Graduate Program at the School of Modern Languages is redesigning humanities education for the 21st century. We emphasize essential skills like communication, leadership, and global expertise while providing advanced training in a high-impact language and region.

In our one-year M.S. in Global Media and Cultures and one-year M.S. in Applied Language and Intercultural Studies, students create a personalized professional portfolio through internships, research, media production, and study abroad. Our B.S./M.S. program and doctoral minors offer these opportunities for current Georgia Tech undergraduates and Ph.D. students. The School of Modern Language offers seven language minors and five area studies minors in addition to Linguistics. The School also offers seven language certificates as well as linguistics. A minor or a certificate in a language is a great way to pursue your language or culture studies beyond the basics.
