Amanda Weiss is Visiting Assistant Professor of Japanese at Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to her work at Georgia Tech, Amanda taught courses on East Asian media and society at Earlham College, Emory University, and Rikkyo University in Tokyo. She is currently completing her first book, Han Heroes and Yamato Warriors: Competing Masculinities in East Asian War Cinema, and starting a second project on contemporary Japanese remembrance of Manchukuo.
