Biography:

Emily Wright, M.S. in Applied Languages and Intercultural Studies in Spanish, presented, in Spanish, on her research for the GT Dept of Housing. Her presentation is titled "Vivir y aprender en Los Estados Unidos: La experiencia cultural de los estudiantes internacionales en Georgia Tech," and explores the experience of international students at Georgia Tech, applying cultural theories and intercultural communication to understand their needs in academics and community support. "My favorite part of this program has been the application of the language into real world contexts and the progression of my language and communication skills," Emily says, "I am proud and excited to re-enter the work force with two languages at a professional level!"
