Kathrin Köppe has been working at Georgia Tech as a German language instructor since the spring of 2006 and has been a full time instructor since the fall of 2013. She was promoted to Senior Lecturer in May of 2021. She graduated from Rostock University in Rostock, Germany, with a Bachelor’s degree in German Linguistics and Literature. She worked for four years as a German language instructor at the National University of Singapore and taught at the Foreign Language Center of the Ministry of Education in Singapore. After she obtained a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language and a Masters in Applied Linguistics at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, she moved to Paris, France, where she taught business English at the French car manufacturer Renault. While teaching all levels from GRMN 1001 to GRMN 3xxx, she has received numerous teaching awards.
