| Biography: | Meredith Stickels, M.S. in Global Media and Cultures in French (Berry class of 2019), is creating a comic book in two languages. "I'm creating a comic book about Simone de Beauvoir, an extremely influential French feminist author and philosopher. I want to tell Beauvoir's story in a medium that is engaging and relevant." To do this project, Meredtih has also researched the history and role of women in the comics industry. "I'm thankful to be able to bring my passion for illustration, as well as my interest in contemporary French literature, into this program." | |
