Overview
Natasha earned a B.A. in Russian Language and Literature from Volgograd State University in Russia, as well as an M.A. in Russian, an M.S. in Curriculum Development and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the State University of New York at Albany, with the dissertation topic “The Construct of Effective Online Language Teaching: Instructors’ Perspectives.”.
She has taught all levels of Russian, both face-to-face and online, at various colleges and universities. One of her specialties is teaching faculty development courses, workshops, and graduate courses on the use of technologies in teaching practice. Currently, Dr. Anthony works part-time at Georgia Tech teaching online Russian courses.
As an active scholar, Dr. Anthony has participated in a number of publications concerning different aspects of the use of technology in teaching foreign languages. The articles she has authored and co-authored have appeared in such journals as CALICO, CALL, TESOL Quarterly, System, Heritage Language Journal, Journal of Educational Technology Systems, and others. She also recently co-authored a book called "Teaching Languages Online", published in 2010 by Multilingual Matters in Bristol, UK.
